We choose who and what we love. By allowing others to love us we are opening ourselves up. This helps us grow as we accept the care and encouragement that we need from family and friends. Letting God love us humbles us because we then see ourselves for who we really are: broken people who need help. This will enable us to receive the loving work of Jesus and be saved!
We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
What happens when we realize how loved we truly are? We will love others. Why? Because if God can love and forgive a broken person like me, how could I not love and forgive others? And if I know that God loves others as much as he loves me, how could I not love them as well?
Will we let God love us and then drive us to love others?
